This Is What Our America Has Come To!!

Liberty Is A Concept Of Political Philosophy And Identifies The Noble
Condition In Which An Individual Has The Right To Act According To His
Or Her Own Free Will. Individualist And Classical Liberal Conceptions
Of Liberty Relate To The Freedom Of The Individual From Any Outside
Compulsion Or Coercion.

Coercion is the practice of compelling a person or trying to force them
to do or behave in an involuntary way by use of threats, intimidation,
slurs, trickery, or some other form of pressure or force.

I read and commented about an on line story recently!!

Daniel Barca, 83, resents being charged extra for not paying his cell
phone bill online. Eighty-three-year-old Daniel Barca has a T-Mobile
cell phone to use in case of emergency.

But the Staten Island senior citizen does not have a computer, nor is he
interested in joining the digital age.

Now, he says, he is being punished: Starting this month, all T-Mobile
users are being charged an additional $1.50 a month to continue to
receive their bills in the mailbox.

Barca said when he called the company to complain, he was told to go to
a library and check his bill online, or to a T-Mobile store.

This Reminded Me Of The Various Verizon Venal Vagary parable posted over
a year ago on the first parable page of paynal.com.

I commented:

I remember when Verizon informed me that they are enrolling me ( without
my permission ) in their new plan which would not be returning my
canceled check.

Verizon would be electronically removing the amount of my check from my
checking account. Verizon provided a number to call if I wanted to opt
out of their program.

I called the number and listened to the whole recording. I had to dial
another number where I would be charged $5.00 for making the call
plus charges and fees for opting out of their program.

Instead of me being one month ahead on my phone bill through my checks:
I now mail Verizon a Money Order from the United States Post Office for
the exact amount of my bill each month.

Everyone wants electronic access to your bank accounts so that they can
randomly steal money from it like America On Line had been doing. Nobody
from America On Line was charged with a crime - all they had to do was
to pay a fine for robbing the bank accounts of their customers.

Swindling Customers Electronically Is An Everyday Practice In America
Today; You Have To Be Very, Very, Diligent!!

Here is where it sounds like you are a customer who just complains about
every little thing and put the blame on the retailers when in actuallity
you probably did something to enroll yourself and did not even realize it.

Unheard of. You would never get charged for making a phone call.

Why do you not just use a credit card or cash? Or buy Verizon Wireless
gift cards with cash to pay for your bill, therefore it is untraceable
for that matter, it seems like what you are doing is just a waste of time.

You are not reading my post correctly MadDog 17: I do not use checks
anymore for anything AT ALL.

MadDog 17
This makes me think you are just an overly paranoid person...

When Verizon used to mail me my bills there was always a credit because
I paid them way in advance. When I got my bill then it would show me the
credit I had left. There stunt means that they do not get any more
advance payments from me.

MadDog 17
That is just stupid... sorry...

I am suspecting that maddog works for Verizon

completely correct... I have been there for a very long time and I know
everything there is to know about phone plans, phones, etc... including
everything about competitor plans. I enjoy a good challenge now and then.
especially when people are trying to "screw the man" lol... Do not get me
wrong, I know of a lot of ways to help a customer get what they want and
and I love saving them money, but then you get the one trying to blame us
for everything... when they have the "not me" or the laughable "customer
is always right" complex..

The United States of America was, at one time, a Free Country: It is Not
That Free Country Anymore!!

The Rampant Government Attitude Of Coercion And Mandatory Compliance Has
Now Also Infected Corporate Monopolies From Top To Bottom!!

Here A Verizon Employee Shows His Contempt For My Right Of Free Choice
In The Very Same DisRespectful Manner Displayed By His Company!!
