More Paynal Platinum People!!
(2009-11-23 at 18:12:43 )
Better late than never!!
I wanted to to present a parable to include four bus drivers that have
impressed me with their public service. Unfortunately I have been unable
to convince two of them past their reluctance to appear on Paynal.com!!
The first bus driver is a young man that I met years ago at his previous
job. His name is Nick. Nick is also a musician who was kind enough to
present me with one of his music CDs.
Nick still has a smile on his face despite the unruly, obnoxious, loud,
and unpaying fares that try to ruin his very excellent demeanor.
Driving a bus is relatively easy after you get used to the size of the
bus; what is very hard about driving a bus is controlling your own temper
in the face of the crap that is bound to come your way through the BAD
ATTITUDES of some of the riding public.
Bus drivers also have to put up with the very dangerous antics of New
York City drivers who can not fathom ever being behind a city bus.
Nick always pulls his bus over to the curb for passengers to get on or
off of the bus he is driving. Nick is wise beyond his years because if
someone asks him for the location of somewhere that is unfamiliar to him
Nick will graciously seek the knowledge from his passengers on the bus.
I know what this is all about. It is about having the attitude within
yourself that you are no different than the human beings on the bus
going about their daily lives. You are one of them!!
Unfortunately there are many extremely arrogant bus drivers who have the
attitude that EVERYONE is beneath them and should be treated with the
utmost scorn and the vilest contempt!
The other driver that I wish to honor here is named Derrick. I have not
seen Derrick in quite a while because he has bid off of the bus routes
that I take on a regular basis.
Derrick also pulls his bus over to the curb to pick up and discharge
passengers. I know that Derrick is of Spanish descent and that is all
that I know about him because Derrick is the silent type of bus driver
that is not trying to win friends or to influence people.
Derrick comes to work to properly do his job; no more no less.
Derrick is the kind of human being that does not wish to take his job
home with him. I admire his commitment to public service.
Both of these fine Gentlemen are indeed Platinum People!!
