Platinum People

This Labor Day I take Pride in Praising Three of Staten Islands Greatest
Public Servants. I humbly call them " Platinum People "!!

One of life's greatest joys is to be in the presence of Human Beings that bring
Honor to themselves, their parents, and our species.

The three of them are employed by the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Every
day they perform their jobs far above what is required of them.

They treat " The Public " with Respect, Duty, Diligence and Compassion.

They do not use their jobs to demean or to bully or to harass as many of their
bosses and co-workers make a point of doing to as many people as possible.

Quite the opposite; these three people should have statues of their likenesses
erected at parks. Their pictures should be hanging in our schools with long
lectures given about their devotion to public service.

Films should be made of them performing their jobs so that our mayors, city
councillors, and state representatives can be shown how to properly treat the
people of New York.

If you are fortunate enough to be exposed to these three Sterling People as
you go about Staten Island; you, too, will eventually come to hold them in the
same Very High Regard!!

What a True Blessing these " Platinum People " are to all of Humanity!

Rose and Mike serve the citizens of Staten Island in the collectors booth of
the Staten Island Railway at the St. George Ferry Terminal in the morning.

Frank is a MTA bus driver that works out of the Yukon garage.

Whenever I am blessed enough to be in their presence I have had a good day!!
