When the Pope Is Not a Catholic by Declan Hayes!

The city of Rome and the world do not need a virtue signalling Pope; TikTok has legions of teenage influencers catering to that juvenile market.

Vatican watchers will recall that former POTUS Richard Nixon famously declared he would have made a good Pope. He would certainly have avoided the massive diplomatic blunders Christs current Vicar on Earth has made.

Pope Francis, in his wisdom, recently held aloft a Ukrainian flag supplied to him by Ukraines Nazi infected authorities. That the Pope allowed the worlds media to photograph him embracing the flag of a notorious death squad currently embroiled in war crimes accusations is, by any metric, an appalling lapse of diplomatic sense that Nixon would never have made. Although that stupid act might have endeared him to Ukrainian Catholicisms more extreme elements, Orthodox Patriarchs Kirill of Moscow and Bartholomew of Constantinople will, along with their faithful, have taken due note.

As even Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, and other groups of the wider Orthodox community would feel very uneasy with the Vaticans further encroachment on their terrain, the Popes show of feigned solidarity has to be regarded as a blunder of the first magnitude.

Not only was it a Ukrainian flag but it had written on in "The Cossack Hundred of Maidan" - the flag of Andriy Paubiys paramilitary far right nationalist unit, which orchestrated the 2014 fascist coup and many of the false flag war crimes that currently so concern the Western media.

As that makes Pope Francis actions akin to Pope Pius XII holding aloft the standard of the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Pope Francis action was an inconceivably massive blunder of the first magnitude. It is, on the surface, utterly incomprehensible and evidence the Vatican needs someone of POTUS Nixons political savvy at the helm.

This, unfortunately, is not an isolated incident.

The Argentinian Pope actually invited Tony Blair, the man primarily responsible not only for the destruction of Iraq but the destruction of Iraqs Christian community, which Christs own Apostles first established, to the Vatican, to discuss Syria. But war criminal Blair is no friend of Iraqi or Syrians Christians; he is their avowed enemy.

Mr. Blair, alas, is not alone. Washington,D.C.s 2014 "In Defense of Christians" (IDC) conference-an event staged to highlight the very dire plight of Christians in the Middle East - showed that the Arab worlds Christians have legions more enemies, on the United States of Americas Capitol Hill and in the ranks of the French Secret Service which put that shameful gathering together.

Patriarch Gregorios Laham, who walked out of that gathering in protest, was subsequently deposed in a coup engineered by the Israeli secret service through a former Carmelite nun, who had showered him, honey trap style, with money. Pope John Paul 11 earlier fell for the same financial rat trap when he allowed the the far right Legionaries of Christ run riot with altar boys in exchange for hundreds of millions of dollars of donations.

Presidents Putin and Assad had repeatedly warned of such schisms, which the Wests secret services were orchestrating and POTUS Nixon, whether he was a crook or not, would not have fallen for such hucksters.

POTUS Nixon could never, of course, have become Pope because he was not a baptised Catholic. President Putin, for his part, is a member of Russias Orthodox Church, a church with an often very uneasy relationship with the Latin Catholic Church and churches allied to it. One only has to read Dostoevsky (who loathed the Popes fellow Jesuits), recall the Crusades, revisit the Vaticans anti-Serbian machinations and very much more to see the antipathy of the Sees of Moscow and Constantinople and allied Churches hold to Rome.

Though Irish Joe Biden is a draft dodging plagiarist, because he is a baptised Catholic, he could become Pope, as long as the Papal Conclave looked beyond his incontinence and his serial war mongering. Though all things are possible to God, the fact he is not his own man makes Mr. Poopy Pants infinitely more problematic. Because Mr. Bidens advanced dementia has allowed Washington,D.C.s hawks needlessly escalate the Ukrainian conflict to where nuclear war remains a distinct possibility, he cannot be a contender.

President Bidens exclusion on health grounds leaves me still in the running. As my own program would include hiring Boston Consulting, McKinsey or some such group to bring the Catholic Church from the Middle Ages up to the present era and delegate such things as saint making and washing the feet of immigrants and prisoners on Holy Thursday, I feel I would garner support from both the red hats and the red tops.

I would urgently undertake a radical review of the Vaticans diplomatic missions, in particular, its problematic relationship with the United States and other Western powers with far too many agents of influence in the Vatican.

Looking towards Iraq, where Rev Andrew White, MI5s so-called Vicar of Baghdad, and other Israeli aligned agents destroyed Iraqs traditional Chaldean and Assyrian Churches, I would contact the Patriarchs of Constantinople, Moscow and Ukraine, as well as the Patriarchs of the Oriental Orthodox Churches for a synod on Mount Athos, which would stay in session until a modus vivendi, stipulated in a memorandum of understanding, between us all was agreed.

In the interests of harmony and unity, I am prepared to withdraw my name in favour of Nigerias Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama or some similar man of God. That said, any future Pope must realise that Romes friends do not reside in NATOs Brussels, Washington,D.C. and London offices and, for all their former help, those European Royals, who enjoy le privilège du blanc are yesteryears people. The mission of the Catholic Church must be, together with its Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox confrères, to return to its original roots of witness and speaking truth to temporal power: that is non-negotiable

Though washing the feet of convicted criminals might make for good optics on Holy Thursday and urbi et orbi speeches to Japanese tourists on Easter Sunday are good for ratings, all of those gimmicks by todays prisoner of the Vatican are irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things.

If the Pope wishes to escape his gilded cage, he must take to heart the Pentecost, fly the Roman coop as countless clerics in his missionary church have done before him, and work with those other persecuted churches to rebuild and renew the world anew.

Although Pope Francis is right to say the West keeps too many animals as pets and he is partly right to tell Catholic school children that there is more to Lent than to stop playing Candy Crush, POTUS Nixon would not have uttered such banalities that fall well short of the dignity of a Pope. And nor would Yahweh who told Abraham that He would be with His Iraqi, Syrian and Palestinian people until the end of time.

Pope Francis should take a break from Romes jaded pomp and pageantry and visit Damascus and the Golan Heights, as Pope John Paul II did before him. He should live by the Cross or die on the Cross, as so many saints have before him.

The city of Rome and the world do not need a virtue signalling Pope; TikTok has legions of teenage influencers catering to that juvenile market. They need old time practical religion, bravery and leadership, Apostle Thomas old wine repackaged in new bottles Graham Greene wrote about in The Power and the Glory. Leave the Japanese tourists and the prisoners with dirty feet behind; let them wash their own feet and let the Pope get on with saving the world from Armageddon.
