Good Riddance on the Tiny Red Ripple by Jacob G. Hornberger!

While we still do not know how things are going to shake out with respect to control over the United States Congress, conservatives and even some conservative-oriented libertarians are licking their wounds over the fact that their much-anticipated Great Red Wave turned out to be the Tiny Red Ripple.

I know that conservatives and conservative-oriented libertarians do not like hearing this, but I say: Good riddance! There is not a bit of difference, in a fundamental sense, between Republicans and Democrats.

They both are just fighting to control the welfare-warfare state, regulated-society that they both have foisted on the American people. Not only are they both destroying our nation from within, they are both increasingly determined to get our nation embroiled in life-ending nuclear war with both Russia and China.

One of the funniest aspects of their political campaigns are their mantras, which truly reflect their moral bankruptcy and rank hypocrisy.

For example, a favorite mantra of Democrats is, "We love the poor, needy, and disadvantaged." Another one is, "We are strongly committed to civil liberties."

What a crock. Democrats have long favored Americas socialist system of immigration controls, which bring nothing but death and suffering to poor people and an immigration police state to the American Southwest.

Of course, Republicans can not say anything about that Democratic hypocrisy because they too support Americas socialist system of immigration controls.

The favorite mantra of Republicans is, "We favor free enterprise, private property, and limited government."

Really? Then, how do they reconcile their favorite mantra with their support of Americas socialist system of immigration controls?

Only libertarians, who favor a free-market system of open borders, can point to the rank hypocrisy of both parties.

Consider the Central Intelligence Agency, which is without a doubt the most evil agency in United States history.

Democrats claim to favor civil liberties and yet support the CIAs program of state-sponsored assassinations. Republicans claim to be in favor of "limited government" but love the fact that the CIA wields omnipotent powers, including assassination.

Of course, given that both Democrats and Republicans love the CIA, they are unable to point to the other partys rank hypocrisy.

Only libertarians, who oppose Americas national-security state system and favor the restoration of Americas founding system of a limited-government republic, can call out both Democrats and Republicans for their rank hypocrisy with respect to the CIA.

Permit me to share with you a video that especially reflects the moral bankruptcy of the conservative movement. The video comes from Fox News, the ultra-conservative media outlet that is a favorite of Republicans and conservative-oriented libertarians. The video features an interview by Laura Ingraham, a staunch conservative host who is a longtime supporter of Republican leader Donald Trump, who himself is licking his wounds because his "stop-the-steal" candidates did not fare too well in the mid-term elections.

In the video, Ms Ingraham is interviewing former CIA Director James Woolsey, who, not surprisingly, is extremely concerned about the possibility that those evil Russkies are coming over here to influence American voters into voting for pro-Russia candidates in the election.

The notion is that American voters, most of whom are graduates of Americas public (i.e., government) schools, have extremely malleable mindsets that are easily influenced by Russian propaganda. That is why the CIA needs to serve as their protective daddy.

Ms Ingraham asked Mr. Woolsey whether the CIA has ever interfered in foreign elections. He admitted that it has and specifically mentioned the CIAs interference with elections in the late 1940s in Italy and Greece. He said that the interference was justified to prevent communists from taking control in those countries.

Really? And why do the people of Italy and Greece not have the right to elect whomever they want, including communists? Is it not their country? Under what moral or legal authority did the CIA interfere with their democratic processes?

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, Ms Ingraham let Mr. Woolseys admission stand without challenge. She could have also asked Mr. Woolsey about the CIAs intentional destruction of the democratic systems of Iran, Guatemala, and Chile during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s under the guise of its anti-communist, Cold War racket, but she did not.

Instead, she simply asked Mr. Woolsey whether the CIA is still interfering with foreign elections. He responded with an extremely weird expression and a wry smile that insinuated that the CIA was, in fact, still doing what he is afraid those evil Russkies are doing. Rather than challenging him on the point, Ms Ingraham instead went into a yuk-yuk mode with the former head of this evil agency.

It would be difficult to find a better example of moral bankruptcy and rank hypocrisy than that. Good riddance on the Tiny Red Ripple!
