George Santos Will Be Right at Home by Jacob G. Hornberger!

The mainstream press is so upset over the lies that Congressman-elect George Santos has told that they are besides themselves. In their eyes, Mr. Santos sullies the much-vaunted concept of democracy that United States officials spread around the world through force of arms, a concept that pretends to result in only the most virtuous, honest people serving in government.

Actually though, Mr. Santos will fit right into Congress and, for that matter, the entire Washington, D.C., establishment. That is because the entire welfare-warfare state way of life has long been characterized by lies, liars, and frauds.

Let us look at a few examples.

James R. Clapper, Jr., served as director of the National Intelligence Agency from 1992 through 1995. He lied to Congress about the federal governments secret, dark-side surveillance activities against the American people. He figured that his lie would never be exposed, especially by his cohorts within the national-security establishment. But much to surprise and chagrin, his lie was exposed by Edward Snowdens revelations.

Mind you, Mr. Clapper did not just lie. He was under oath when he lied. That means he committed perjury, which is a federal criminal offense - in fact, a felony. Was he ever indicted and prosecuted? Are you kidding? He is still hailed as a patriot and a hero! The mainstream media even still turns to him for his "expert" commentary on matters relating to "national security." They love that perjurer!

And what about Mr. Snowden? Pentagon, CIA, and Justice Department officials and their mainstream acolytes have gone after him with a vengeance, just as they have done with Julian Assange. The reason? Mr. Snowden and Mr. Assange disclosed the truth about the national-security states dark-side secrets. Telling the truth is their "crime." The Washington, D.C., establishment hates people who tell the truth about what the national-security establishment is doing. And so does much of the mainstream press.

How about those infamous WMDs that President George W. Bush, the Pentagon, and the Central Intelligence Agency peddled to garner support for their war of aggression against Iraq? Where is the same indignation among the mainstream press against that lie that has been demonstrated against Mr. Santoss lies? Indeed, where was the same indignation that is now being expressed against Russias invasion of Ukraine? It was nowhere to be found. Instead, the mainstream press was stumbling over itself to win the honor of being embedded with United States troops, where they ended up praising and glorifying their killings of Iraqis. Even when Bush mocked his own lie in a public skit about those non-existent WMDS, the mainstream press thought it was hilarious, notwithstanding the thousands of Iraqis who were being killed and injured as a direct result of the lie.

How about the 9-11-01 attacks, when United States officials stated with straight faces that the terrorists just hated the United States of America for its "freedom and values"?

The mainstream press eagerly bought into that whopper. When libertarians told the truth by pointing out that foreigners hate the United States for the death and destruction inflicted upon them by the Pentagon and the CIA, the mainstream press joined in the "You hate America and love the terrorists" chorus.

How about the old Cold War lie that the Reds were coming to get us, which was used to justify the unconstitutional conversion of the federal government from a limited-government republic to a national-security state?

To this day, the mainstream press continues to passively endorse the many assassination attempts and other regime-change operations against Cuba in the name of "keeping us safe" from a Red takeover of America.

What about Russias invasion of Ukraine? United States officials, the Pentagon, and the CIA continue to play like they had no role in ginning up that war.

It is a flat-out lie, and they know it.

In fact, they knowingly, intentionally, and deliberately used their old Cold War dinosaur NATO to absorb former members of the Warsaw Pact, with the specific aim of giving Russia another "Vietnam," just they did in 1989 with respect to Russias invasion of Afghanistan. Not surprisingly, the mainstream press goes along with the lie, just like Pravda did for the Russian communist regime during the Cold War.

What about the CIAs still-secret records relating to its assassination of President John F. Kennedy, who was determined to lead America in a direction that was different from that of the Pentagon and the CIA??

President Biden and the CIA steadfastly maintain that the release of those 59-year-old records will threaten "national security." It is a flat-out lie, and they know it. There is no possibility that the release of 59-year-old records will cause the United States to fall into the ocean or bring about a Red takeover of the nation. Yet, while there have recently been breakthroughs among some of the mainstream press, most of them buy into the lie and continue to cooperate with the cover-up.

Social Security. For years, United States officials have maintained that people "put their money" into the Social Security system. It is a lie, and it has been a lie since the programs inception. The FICA tax is just a tax, just like any other tax. It has nothing to do with "putting money" into the Social Security system. Tax revenues are spent the minute they are received, including on the ever-growing expenditures of the Pentagon and its army of voracious "defense" contractors who love feeding at the public trough.

FICA taxes never go into a "fund" and they never have. The truth is that Social Security is nothing more than a welfare program, no different from food stamps, public housing, education grants, farm subsidies, and corporate bailouts. Yet the mainstream press continues reinforcing the lie that Social Security is some sort of retirement fund to which people are entitled.

Like I say, notwithstanding all the handwringing among the mainstream press, George Santos is going to fit very well in Washington,D.C.
