The Staten Island Groundhog Day Spectacle

February second is " Groundhog Day " and here on Staten Island the politicians
make a Spectacle of themselves at the Staten Island Zoo with children, a crier
and bugler, and Charles G. Hogg aka Staten Island Chuck the groundhog!!

Mayor Michael Magnificent Bloomberg used an ear of corn to try and make Chuck
come out of his lair for the photo-op. Chuck took the corn and went back
inside. Mayor Michael Magnificent then reached inside and removed the corn.

Staten Island Chuck got an Attitude and bit Mayor Magnificent on his hand. The
Zoo staff ultimately pushed Staten Island Chuck out of his lair so that the
Mayor Michael Magnificent Bloomberg could pick the groundhog up and pose for
the cameras that were there recording this Stupendous Spectacle.

According to our Mayor Michael Magnificent Bloomberg Staten Island Chuck is:
" A Terrorist Rodent That Might Very Well Have Been Trained By Al-Qaeda In
Afghanistan. "

Staten Island Chuck now is now being worshiped as a cult " Hero " with his own
beret clad picture now on mugs and tee shirts.

Only God knows just how far, wide, and to what heights the Esteem for Staten
Island Chuck will eventually grow to be.

Folks are already calling for his election as Mayor of New York City.

What a truly wild, wierd, and wacky year this is starting out to be.
