Confronting the JFK Assassination by Jacob G. Hornberger!

The ground seems to be shifting with respect to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Displaying little or no fear of either the national-security establishment or of being labeled a "conspiracy theorist," an increasing number of people are now openly and publicly acknowledging what has increasingly become obvious: that the United States national-security establishment orchestrated and carried out John F. Kennedys assassination as part of a national-security regime-change operation.

This is a positive and healthy sign. Getting America back on the right track requires confronting this dark legacy of America as a national-security state. That includes confronting all of the Pentagons and CIAs state-sponsored assassinations, but especially the Kennedy assassination. Libertarians can help lead the way out of this darkness by openly and publicly acknowledging and addressing what happened on November 22, 1963, and bringing the light of truth to the United States of American people about this sordid event.

That is the purpose of my new video series "The JFK Assassination: Sixty Years Later," which so far consists of six 30-minute episodes.

In the immediate aftermath of the assassination, there was no reasonable possibility that anyone was going to be able to prove that the military-intelligence establishment was behind the assassination. There were lots of anomalies and unusual occurrences that were enough to raise eyebrows, but they certainly were not enough to convict the national-security establishment beyond a reasonable doubt.

For example, immediately after the shooting, there were men on the "grassy knoll" who identified themselves as Secret Service agents. They diverted people away from that particular area, which was located in front of the presidents limousine when the shots rang out. The Secret Service later stated that it had no agents in that area.

If the assassination was really committed by a "lone nut" who purportedly shot from the presidents rear, who were those men on the grassy knoll who falsely identified themselves as Secret Service agents? Is that enough to convict the national-security establishment of having orchestrated the assassination? Of course not. But it is certainly enough to raise eyebrows.

At that time, assassinating a president was not a federal crime. That means that this was a straight murder case under Texas state law. The entity that had sole jurisdiction over the crime was Dallas County.

The possibility that Dallas County District Attorney Henry Wade, a conservative Democrat, would even consider targeting the military-intelligence establishment with the crime was non-existent. As an establishment public official, his mind would have never moved in that direction. In fact, he immediately concluded that the assassination had been carried out as part of an international communist conspiracy. But displaying a classic mindset of deference to authority, Wade quickly acceded to President Lyndon Johnsons demand to abandon the communist-conspiracy allegation and settle for a lone-nut theory of the assassination.

Moreover, there was never any reasonable possibility that any of the orchestrators of the assassination or any of the shooters would talk. These were professionals. All of them understood the need for absolute secrecy, especially given that this was the assassination of a United States president. In fact, from the inception of the CIA, the policy had always been to never put any reference to any state-sponsored assassination in writing.

However, as I am demonstrating in my new video series, the Achilles heel of the assassination was always the autopsy that the national-security establishment conducted on President Kennedys body after the assassination. That is because the people who participated in the autopsy were not part of the assassination itself. Therefore, they did not have the same incentive to keep silent as those who orchestrated and carried out the assassination itself.

This is why the militarys autopsy was "classified" and why participants in the autopsy were sworn to secrecy and forced to sign written secrecy oaths. Enlisted personnel who participated in the autopsy were severely threatened with court-martial and criminal prosecution if they ever revealed what they had seen or done during the autopsy.

Among the most unusual - and revealing - aspects of the military autopsy was the response of the mainstream press. No one questioned the fact that it was the military-intelligence establishment was carrying out the autopsy. It was considered to be perfectly normal. The acquiescence of the mainstream press revealed the extent to which the press had come to accept that America had become a military nation, one in which the federal government was now controlled by the military-intelligence establishment.

The secrecy surrounding the assassination was extremely successful. To this day, while we can identify likely suspects in the Central Intelligence Agency and the military who orchestrated the assassination, there is still insufficient evidence to convict any of them beyond a reasonable doubt. We also do not know - and will never know - the identities of the people who actually did the shooting.

That, however, is irrelevant. What matters is that the evidence establishes beyond a reasonable doubt that this was, in fact, a national-security regime-change operation, one no different in principle than the ones carried out against political leaders in Iran (1953), Guatemala (1954), and Congo (1961) and that would later be carried out against the democratically elected president of Chile (1973).

To what evidence of guilt am I referring? The evidence surrounding the autopsy. While the plotters were highly successful in maintaining strict secrecy surrounding the autopsy for a very long period of time, ultimately the dam of secrecy cracked opend, especially during the term of the Assassination Records Review Board in the 1990s.

But that was 30 years after the assassination! That is a very long time. That is a very effective cover-up, especially because by that time, the mainstream press had fallen under the complete control of the national-security establishment and, therefore, was not permitted to investigate the evidence of fraud in the autopsy that was uncovered by the ARRB. (I will be covering such fraud in my new video series. In the meantime, see my books The Kennedy Autopsy, The Kennedy Autopsy 2, and An Encounter with Evil: The Abraham Zapruder Story.)

For example, as I detail in the early episodes of my new series, the evidence is overwhelming that military-intelligence personnel sneaked President Kennedys body into the Bethesda, Maryland, military morgue almost 1 and a half hours before the official entry time of 8 pm on the evening of the assassination. Why would they do that? And why would they lie about that? Why would they cover it up? What did they do to JFKs body during that 1 a half hours? Alas, not one investigative reporter for any mainstream newspaper investigated the matter. By the 1990s, the national-security establishments control over the mainstream press had become complete.

The most important part of the Kennedy assassination is the "why" of the assassination. By understanding why the national-security establishment deemed it necessary to orchestrate one of its patented regime-change operations on American soil, we can gain an understanding of why America is mired in perpetual war, strife, conflict, militarism, out-of-control spending, monetary debauchery, a national police state, and empire. (See FFFs book JFKs War with the National Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated by Douglas Horne. Also, see JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters by James W. Douglass.)

If you are not already doing so, I would invite you to view my new series: The JFK Assassination: Sixty Years Later - Episode 1. If you like it, please recommend it to your friends and mailing lists. As more Americans become aware of this dark legacy of America as a national-security state and, equally important, as more Americans lose their fear of being labeled "conspiracy theorists," we stand a greater chance of restoring liberty, peace, prosperity, and harmony to our land.
