From James Rawley and Stephen Behrendt

By the time Christopher Columbus appeared in Lisbon in 1477 an Old World slave trade was thriving in the eastern Atlantic between West Africa, the Atlantic islands, and Europe. In his famous letter on his first voyage he informed Ferdinand and Isabella he could, with their help, give them "slaves, as many as they shall order." On his second voyage Columbus loaded five hundred Indian slaves aboard returning caravels. On the last leg of his voyage to Cadiz, "about two hundred of these Indians died," a passenger recorded, appending, "We cast them into the sea." In this manner the discoverer of the New World launched the transatlantic slave trade, at first in Indians and from west to east.

From Cicero

They say that Lysander the Spartan, whom I have mentioned before, used to remark that Sparta was the most dignified home for old age; for that nowhere was more respect paid to years, nowhere was old age held in higher honour. Nay, the story is told of how when a man of advanced years came into the theatre at Athens when the games were going on, no place was given him anywhere in that large assembly by his own countrymen; but when he came near the Lacedæmonians, who as ambassadors had a fixed place assigned to them, they rose as one man out of respect for him, and gave the veteran a seat. When they were greeted with rounds of applause from the whole audience, one of them remarked: "The Athenians know what is right, but will not do it."

Politicians are fallible human beings. By foisting your hopes and dreams onto them, you make yourself a prisoner of their shortcomings. More importantly, by relying on the President to solve all questions of economics, foreign affairs, and private life, the entire country is at the mercy of his or her imperfections.

As someone that has dealt with both good and bad police officers I need to stress here that police officers assigned to " high crime " areas are under massive stress from their superiors, from their unions, and from the general public!! Over time their personalities change and their attitudes grow cold!! The job is extremely difficult, and sometimes thankless!! There are however innocent people being killed by police officers and denying that there is a problem is not going to make it go away!! There are many problems within these United States that need attention; this is only one of them!!

Mr. Donald Trump effectively illustrates all of the United States ugly hypocrisies, contradictions, venal greed, and crass lust that is at the core of this Nations true identity!

As long as Donald Trump makes it clear that he is gonna screw black people, he has got a core base that will never leave him!!

From Walter Cronkite

The United States presidential debates are part of the unconscionable fraud that our political campaigns have become. Here is a means to present to the American people a rational exposition of the major issues that face the nation, and the alternate approaches to their solution. Yet the candidates participate only with the guarantee of a format that defies meaningful discourse. They should be charged with sabotaging the electoral process.

Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.

Choose Your Own Death!!

It is up to the United States voters who will likely end the United States by electing Donald Trump as president; or the United States voters who will probably end the entire world by electing Hillary Clinton as president!!

From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negros great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order”" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another mans freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.

Gee folks, in Boston where I went to grade school, there was a " special school " called dispy where the children who could not act right went to school!! There were no police officers or safety agents in any of the regular schools, the teachers and principles were allowed to physically punish misbehaving children!! Back then your parents would tan your hide for acting up in school. You would get expelled for fighting in school, so you never fought inside of the building!! Teachers were never cussed, or swore at, or argued with, and never ever hit!!

If you offered me 15 million dollars a year to teach school I would not take it because you can not teach todays children anything!! They know everything that there is to know at birth!! Believe me I could go on and on; our society is falling apart because dealing with basic human nature has been put aside for the latest touchy feely lets try this experiment!!

There are extremely few human beings on this earth who are " fault-free "!! I too have biases; I dislike people that disrespect others for any reason; I dislike bullies; I dislike con artists; I dislike people blowing smoke into my nose; I dislike people screaming profanity; I dislike people that think that they own me; I dislike people that think that I owe them something!!

Like every other human being I have biases but that does not prevent me from treating everyone respectfully until they prove themselves unworthy of my respect!! Such are the values of a human being brought up correctly by their family and their society; unfortunately in todays United States of America a proper upbringing is a rarity instead of it being normal!! As an American I doubt if our society is going to last very much longer!! People are buying guns everywhere preparing for the chaos to come!!

From James D. Robenalt

The cycle of racial violence in our nation is as predictable as it is recurrent. Repression leads to poverty, poverty to hopelessness and crime, crime to police intervention, often violent, and police violence leads to violent retaliation against the police. This is not to excuse any violence, but explain its genesis.

I am truly wondering just how many Bernie Sanders supporters are going to vote for Donald Trump in November just to get back at the underhanded way that Hillary Clinton was " handed " the democratic nomination??
