From Neil Postman

In the age of advanced technology, spiritual devastation is more likely to come from an enemy with a smiling face than from one whose countenance exudes suspicion and hate. In the Huxleyan prophecy, Big Brother does not watch us, by his choice. We watch him, by ours. There is no need for wardens or gates or Ministries of Truth. When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby talk, when, in short, a people become an audience and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk: culture-death is a clear possibility.

From Kristian Williams

Police are specialists in violence. They are armed, trained, and authorized to use force. With varying degrees of subtlety, this colors their every action. Like the possibility of arrest, the threat of violence is implicit in every police encounter. Violence, as well as the law, is what they represent.

It is completely obvious that no one in Washington has enough sense to be in government. In Washington power is in demonic and idiotic hands. Washington consists of the largest collection of criminal fools in human history. The threat to life on earth has never been as great as it is at this time. The crazed fools in Washington and the reckless scum that comprise the Western media are brewing Armageddon.

From U.S. Marine Smedley Darlington Butler

I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a Racketeer, a Gangster for Capitalism (Corporatism). I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American Oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped Purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American Sugar Interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American Fruit Companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his Rackets in three districts. I Operated On Three Continents.

I have learned over the years that when ones mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.

America is a Great Big Lie. There is no truth in what we are told. The entire country, along with that part of the world under Washingtons thumb, is run for about six private interest groups. The rest of us are being fleeced. In America hate and the cultivation of hate is alive and well. But not a single moral virtue is.

From Hermann Goering at the Nuremberg trials after World War II

Why of course the people do not want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people do not want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

From Jacob G. Hornberger

Consider the Racist aspects of the drug war-how it has been enforced in a vicious and arbitrary way against people of color. Bigoted cops have had a field day with the drug war because it has enabled them to continue beating up, abusing, stopping, searching, and humiliating black people in a perfectly legal way. What arguments are left for continuing the war on drugs? The only argument left is an illegitimate one: that law enforcement has grown dependent on the drug war and does not want to let go of the Bribes, Drug Deals, Asset Forfeitures, and Totalitarian-type Powers that come with the drug war. It is time for the American people to say, "Enough Is Enough," just as Americans did with the corruption that came with the Prohibition of Booze.

From Amasa Delano

The more enlarged a mind becomes in its views of men and the world, the less it will be disposed to denounce the varieties of opinion and pursuit, and the more it will enjoy the benevolent results to which wisdom and philosophy point. A narrow mind chafes itself by its own prejudices; but a man, who is accustomed to generalize his observations, principles, and feelings, and to subdue his prejudices by a practical philanthropy, acquires an habitual superiority to the inequalities and provocations of society, and has learned the divine art of extracting good from evil.

A government that relies on propaganda cannot be believed about anything. Americans misinformed by a prostitute media are in no position to protect the United States Constitution and their Liberty. Misinformed, they become allies of tyranny and Their Own Worst Enemy.

From Hannah Arendt

Although tyranny, because it needs no consent, may successfully rule over foreign peoples, it can stay in power only if it destroys first of all the national institutions of its own people.

From Paul Craig Roberts

Democracy and freedom require an independent and aggressive media, an independent and aggressive judiciary, and an independent and aggressive Congress. The United States has none of the above.

From George Orwell

Do you not see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it.

From Al Capone

This American system of ours, call it Capitalism, call it what you like - gives to each and every one of us a great opportunity if we only seize it with both hands and make the most of it.
